3 inspection cycle

 

The inspection of storage racks should be carried out on a regular basis and should be carried out in the following ways:

 

A) Check daily. The truck driver or other staff inspects the warehouse racks daily. All safety problems and injuries found should be reported to the management.

 

B) Weekly or monthly checkups. The warehouse racks are inspected weekly or monthly by the warehouse rack safety management personnel and a formal written report is submitted.

 

C) Regular expert examination. Professional warehouse rack suppliers or qualified technicians should be regularly invited to conduct professional inspections and to submit written reports on the inspection results and necessary measures to managers.

General rules

 

Users should systematically assess, classify and record the severity of damage to columns, supporting members and beams. An operational procedure should be worked out in the evaluation to study the problems identified in the evaluation conclusion. When problems or the possibility of further injury cannot be eliminated, the procedure shall establish appropriate measures to reduce the possibility. Conclusions should be drawn on the basis of analyzing the causes of injury, such as:

 

A) Incorrect operation of forklift truck.

 

B) Changes in storage racks.

 

C) The driver’s skills are insufficient and training or retraining is required.

 

D) The type and quality of storage tools do not meet the requirements.

 

E) Uneven load or hanging out of unit load.

 

F) Tray damage.

 

G) The design clearance is too small.

 

H) The channel width is too small.

 

I) Storage racks are in bad working condition.

 

J) Cargo spillover causes warehouse management such as blocking of pallet passages.
